Great news. Looks like Summer has a new movie project going on. It looks like its a short movie – which has a length of max 5 minutes – for a contest for the Producers Guild of America. The movie is produces by German Michael Torres, Rick Telles, and John Estrada and directed by Jay Torres. According to the tweets by 3N Films, Summer was the lead actress for this project.
Currently we don’t know much about it but here is a first picture, that was posted by 3N Films.
According to the challenge, you had only 2 days to make the whole movie so it seems like its already done. The website list the requirements for this challenge such as setting, story elements and thematic elements the movies must have.
For the 2012 WEEKEND SHORTS CONTEST, the contest draws on key aspects of Debra Hill’s modern classic, THE FISHER KING. If you haven’t watched THE FISHER KING recently, you may wish to take a moment to refresh your memory of this wonderful film.
So it looks like the topic of the short films is based on The Fisher King, which has the following plot.
A former radio DJ, suicidally despondent because of a terrible mistake he made, finds redemption in helping a deranged homeless man who was an unwitting victim of that mistake.
Winners of this contest should be announced on November 8 online at pgaweekendshorts.com and it should be available for the audience around that time as well.
