LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) — Less than a week after announcing its November sweeps schedule, FOX is already making some changes.
Network sources have confirmed Friday entries “Brothers,” “‘Til Death” and “Dollhouse” will all go on hiatus after their October 23 airings. A rebroadcast of “House’s” two-hour season premiere will sub in for the night on October 30 with additional repeats of “House” and “Bones” taking over for the rest of the month.
“Dollhouse” will then return with back-to-back originals starting at 8:00/7:00c on December 4, 11 and 18.
As for the comedies, “Brothers” will permanently shift to Sundays at 7:00/6:00c starting November 8 with back-to-back originals also set for December 13 and 27. No return date for “‘Til Death” however was given.

Fridays (December 4-18)
8:00/7:00c – “Dollhouse”
9:00/8:00c – “Dollhouse”
Damn! That’s a sad news indeed. But let’s try to look at the bright side: at least both episodes will air on the same day which is a good thing considering it’s a two parter.

and now Summer joins “Dollhouse” and this happens.

Why am I not surprised with Fox?
I’ve been watching DH this season so I could understand what is happening by the time Summer made her appearance as Bennett. Now they they decide to hold any more episodes until December, makes the whole point of watching it pointless. I’ll forget everything by the time the show airs in December, and I’m not going to waste time downloading DH or watching it again on the internet. I’d share a few choice words on my opinion about FOX, but I don’t want to end up banned from this website. To put it simply @*^V#$-%* FOX!

I’m not going to say anything about FOX here. (I’ll save my comments for the Forum and Wiki)
What I will say is: I’ll be glad to see Summer on Dec. 4th, as an early Christmas Gift.
To see her smile, hear her unique voice and her laugh and all her Glau-ness will be nothing less than superb.

Fox is once again pulling its usual stuff. They will probably cancel Dollhouse just like they cancelled Firefly and TSCC. I hate fox with a passion.

Though I WILL say something about Fox… I am putting THEM on Hiatus after tonight until 12/4.
Turnabout as they say…
The acting world is a TOUGH one. My best advice for Summer at this point is to return to school and get an Associates or Bachleor’s Degree in something she really enjoys while acting on the side. She once admitted to never attending college except for extra-curricular classes so now should be the time. This is what I am doing as a failed actor, myself.

summer needs to wash her hands with doing programmes for FOX, anything summer appears in, FOX seems to play and mess around with it. im sure other networks would be delighted to have such a wondeful actress.
this is horrible news, i’ll remain positive and say it’ll be worth waiting for if we do eventually get to see Summer as Bennett but it will be agnonising. Fox do themselves no favours with us at all.
Brian_R is right, but it’s not easy (to me, FOR SURE. To other ppl also, i guess) to get over it. FUX is messing with us, all the time. This last event is an undeniable proof of this…¬¬

Fox has bent over backwards to help this show from the very start. It would be irresponsible of Fox to air Dollhouse during sweeps and would lose them *a lot* of money.
Their only mistake really was not making it perfectly clear in the initial press release, rather than hinting heavily at their intentions as they did.
Just consider, given the ratings Dollhouse has had from the start, if it were any other show it would have been pulled from the schedule and production shut down before Summer even had the chance to set foot on set.
Fox have really done Summer a fans a big favour keeping it alive long enough for her to be in it, let alone promising to air her episodes too.
I’m not trying to cause an argument, I just want to point out the reality of the situation in this case.
I still hate what Fox did to Firefly but they really have, for the most part, done everything right as far as DH is concerned.
Just my thoughts on the matter.

I am just thankful that we get to see Summer in December and then her “Deadly Honeymoon” movie early next year.
I hope that “Good Morning Rabbit” pilot gets on the air soon too.
I am not surprised at all by how Fox managed the Dollhouse episodes. They did a similar programming change to TSCC by putting it on mid season hiatus. This really killed the show along w/ the move to Friday nights. I am sure that they will fail to remind the fans of the show when the new DH episodes will air.
They must still have the same management working there when TSCC got cancelled. Same MO (method of operation).
Jeez, when I think FOX can’t make more stupid things than they’d already done, they prove me wrong. Really sad news, since I wanted to see Summer’s DH episodes so much it hurt.
Sad news. But as long as Fox don’t change their mind about showing those episodes, I’m happy.

Sure, we all know whats coming, no S3 of DH. Episode 5 is pushed back until December, thank you Fox…
But on the bright side we will get 2 hours back-to-back of Summer Glau on Television again.
And for the record, it is not just Fox. Look what happened to Kings… Ian McShane rocked the house, and it was canceled.
Network TV is just bad. Be thankful we got cable.
