I'd just seen Her episode of Alphas after just finishing a "Sereni-Fly" marathon.
I kinda got a "4400", "Heroes", X-Men type vibe from it. Not diggin' the hair, though.
Not what I'm used to from her.
All I know is.. alot of raved about Skylar Adams, so naturally I had to check it out and see what the buzz was all about.
I plan on watching more alphas

btw. completely unrelated but, i didn't know mammoth was supposed to be funny until summer mentioned it in an interview. Boy do I feel like an idiot.

(in case you don't remember, i trashed that movie... HARD a couple years back)

Finally got caught up with this show. I was a little disappointed with the season two premiere. Season one had a great ending, and I was hoping for a little more progression with season two, but instead the premiere felt like a reboot. I did enjoy the ending to 202.

Also, if Nina truly is done, I'm fine with that. She was always my least favourite character, and besides, it makes room for Skylar to join the team in season three. :lol:

season 2 has been pretty slow so far. i hope it picks up the pace soon.

Boourns! Someone mentioned on Twitter that Erin Way was working with Summer, so I Googled the name. It sounds like this Erin Way girl is going to replace Nina on the team. If I'm being honest, her ability seems pretty lame. She can pick up any skill just by watching? Apparently being a quick learner qualifies as an ability. :lol:

I'm sort of on the fence with this season so far. On one hand I'm enjoying the episodes, but on the other, I'm not sure I like the direction. Rosen is obsessed with Stanton and seems completely separate from the team now. Bill apparently likes to go to Alpha fight clubs. Rachel and John is just a re-hashing of Hicks and Nina. I also don't like that it's starting to feel a bit like BSG or Caprica. I liked that Alphas had a lighter tone and didn't always take itself seriously.

I do like Gary becoming more independent. He's still my favourite character. And naturally, I'm still looking forward to Summer's return!

Oh, and I don't like Kat. I can see her annoying me each week. :lol:

She's this little runt that I can't take seriously, and I didn't like the way they explained the downside of her ability when she was at the hotdog stand with Bill.

I'm happy to say the season's gettting better. Some of the humour's returned, which I think is helping.

I also like how they've decided to tie Skylar to Stanton Parish. When I read the synopsis about Skylar coming back because the team finds a device, I thought, that sounds a little lame. But if the device is attached to Stanton, then it gives Skylar an opportunity to play a big role in this season's arc.

I also like that they introduced her in this episode intead of rushing through it in the first 10 minutes of 206.

Next week should be fun!
