Hello people,

I know that its still 6 months till Summer's birthday, but we could start now to plan what we gonna do this year and if its something that goes around the world again, its better to start early than too late. :)
So lets begin with the brainstorming. Post your ideas here.

----DONE----

I tought about something... instead of 'something' going around the world, everyone who wants can send a nice little birthday message/a photo of his/her hometown or something like that to one member (maybe norman or cristelle or everyone else who volunteers) and he/she makes like a little book or collage of the different things...and that is going to summer
I think you understand my basic idea (hope so).

I really like that idea with the book cuz it`s something she can open a read for amusement she she is tired or something like that ...,and that will kind a give her the chance to see different parts of the world ,however I don`t think we should bring all the hard work on Norman or Cristelle, that is a lot of work to order everything,to organize it ,to put it in a book ,there would be a lot of messages ,so maybe sending that book around the world sound nice to me ,but as Norman said we have to start now in order to avoid any delays and make it in time.

Yeah, I also like a lot the idea of theVIC, it'll show to Summer how much she's loved and appreciate all around the world and also, like Brolly wrote, it'll give her the chance to see different parts of the world. ;)

However, despite I understand that put everything in the hands of Norman and/or Cristelle would be heavy, I think that it's the most effective way. In this way could partecipate a lot more of users without having all the package travelling around the world. Of course we can pay via paypal (or other method) Norman&Cristelle for the efford.

I saw the experiment of last year, it was delivered nearly on time but thanks to a FedEx superquick delivery and (if I recall correctly) skipping the last signatures.

Guys, we have four months, five if we consider the half of february and july together. I know it may be considered a lot of time but if there are a lot of stuff travelling the world, with lot of people to coordinate (eg. the package will not be delivered, someone has to go to the post office to ask and maybe it'll take a couple of more days then expected) we'll find that it's really very narrow. :|

Of course, that's my opinion, let's see what other says.

Sounds very interesting.
Problem with sending around is that it can get lost somewhere. I can't speak for Cristelle but I think that we could handle the organization part. If we start early than it shouldn't be the problem. But lets see what other people think.

Edit.:

People could also write what interesting things they have in their town/area/country. Maybe a small sightseeing guide with a map of all towns/areas in the front of the book.

I like VIC's idea.
Like Norman said, it shouldn't be send around the world. It's a too big risk that it'll be lost or damaged.

I imagine to include a world map with the marked cities of the attendants. Then one side for everyone to put on their message, pic, drawing, poem or something else.
