What first attracted you to be an admirer of Summer Glau??

I saw her for the first time in Serenity, I love that movie,to be honest, at that time I didn't know who she was, it's not that it made any difference, she was great indeed, but I fell metaphorically in love with her after the TTSCC pilot ( I didn't recognize her from Serenity at once).
It was August 2008, 10:30 PM, I had heard they was to run this new show about Terminators and Sarah Connor on Sci-Fi channel (it's a Fox show and here they run it on Sci-fi channel that's the beauty of my country), and I said to myself let's see how they screwed the things up, cause I really liked the first two Terminator movies. Well it turned out the pilot was great in addition there was this young lady shedding grace all over the place and kicking asses. She was fantastic my god, I couldn't shake her image from my mind like the song, I understand perfectly what they meant, my brain was kinda stuck in an infinite Cameronish loop, luckily I had taken a week leave, because I would have been worse than useless at work. After a while I rationalized that crush, but my admiration and esteem for her are still vivid.

Then i started to watch the series, and when i realized, i was completely hypnotized for her. Her soul, her spirit, her beauty, but above all, her simplicity, humility, the kind of person who engages us in the first look. That makes us feel something that can not be described in words, because they can not prove such greatness of feeling.

I discovered Serenity and Firefly (the 2nd one i didn't watch, yet...i'm getting the season soon

), and discovered that i've already watched the 1st one (not the full movie, just part of it). It's like if were written in my destiny, that i would know her.

I felt something beyond this world. Something like i already knew her from other times...At the same time that she's a new person i wish to meet personally, someday, she looks familiar, it's kind of something out of this world, definetly...

The words cannot describe. My vocabulary of English is not so that wide, so...i hope you could understand the magnitude of my feelings... :mrgreen:

I feel like, if i had a chance to talk to her, meet her personally, i don't know what i would do, feel like i was the happiest guy in the world, or simply satisfied for staying beside her.

Glad you like the topic Rod... so you discovered her first as Cameron. See any similarities between Cameron and River now that you've at least seen Serenity?

Oh and I understand what you are trying to relate about your feelings... your vocabulary is just fine. Summer is so unique she inspires feelings that are very hard to define with words... just as she is very hard to define with words. The standard definitions just leave something to be desired when talking about her.

I love the way you said you saw "this young lady shedding grace all over the place"... yep she definitely does that in every role. I think grace and graciousness only just begin to define Summer's spirit.

In the end she strikes me as just the right balance of the down home girl you knew in high school and a Hollywood super babe. She’s the best of both worlds.

It should also be noted that Glau is not just a pretty face, but is also a great actress who deserves more attention as such. She’s multifaceted, physical and I personally hope she hits it big or rather bigger then she already has because lord knows there are plenty of other woman in Hollywood that don’t deserve the attention they get nor do they have half the talent.

It's strange... she makes us think exactly of the same things, the same feelings....

And then i found out who she was with a simple IMDB search and then from then on ... i was her fan.

I've never been a fan of anyone or anything actually. She was the first person i had ever admired and kept up to date with.

Well for some reason Firefly had not really gotten my attention when it aired or even when the dvd's were released. I had seen Serenity too but even though I liked it a lot it didn't really spark my interest in Summer at the time. Then came Tscc and I was hooked from the first moment I saw Summer. But still it was a moderate interest. I felt the same about other actresses like Jewel Staite, Lexa Doig, Sarah Carter, Erica Durance and some others.

And then sometime earlier this year I started watching Tscc season 2 and posting on the tscc wiki forum and reading some things about Summer and all of a sudden it hit me. You know that funny feeling in your stomach when you get a crush on someone. Ever since I'm simply hooked on all things Summer. I watched her movies and Firefly and Serenity again and it made me go to Fedcon just for Summer. And I think this feeling is here to stay. I can't explain it or say what exactly it is that gave me this feeling but I'm under her spell. I've tried explaining it with words many times but I always get to the same conclusion. Summer is simply magic!

When you see her on screen or in real life all the surroundings just get blurry and all you see is Summer. When she speaks you hear her wonderful warm voice and you don't want her to stop talking. Everything she does she does with devotion and grace unlike so many others. She's simply genuine like the guy says in Joe's quote. Simply wonderful and simply the best.

Sounds like an offense with an unrespectful meaning using "hot" word: just if you didn't care of her.

Yes, of course :mrgreen:

I wrote this in my language (to make things easier to define

) and used a traduction program to translate it. So, don't worry if not everything is correct :mrgreen:

They're both beautiful, seem weak (in River's case, it's even true), but are much stronger than we can imagine (specially Cameron lol) and i believe that they are like opposites. While River can be a sweet girl, but also a killer (i don't like to use this term; I prefer a term "lighter", but i can't remember any now xD), Cameron is literally a machine, but apparently has strong feelings, I believe (jealousy, concern, perhaps even love Oo). It's like as if, when one is the negative pole, the other is positive, and when the 1st is positive, the 2nd becomes negative, opposites attract themselves, for me they form a single element.

Something like that:

They ALWAYS combine themselves

I think Summer is the perfect balance between these 2 poles. Ok, the positive is stronger, because she doesn't look to have bad feelings in her heart, and that's what i like about her. I think she's so pure, smooth with her feelings...
