[First of all, sorry for my english, not as fluent as i would appreciate, but enough to read/ write and answer (I hope...) ]

So...

I am a French guy, i am interested in Sci-Fi movies and series.

I've discovered Summer Glau in the "Serenity" movie.

"Sarah Chronicles" (season 1) were broadcasted few weeks ago in France and i've decided to have more informations about the upcoming seasons, the cast ...so i went through the internet to see what was cooking...

To be honnest, i can not call me a "fan". (Please don't throw me stones listen to me before ! )

I mean... i can not be a fan of someone: it has to deal with my own personality.

"To be a fan" has a strong meaning and by some ways it may be frightening (i mean for the subject of your passion).

I prefer to keep an eye "with reason" upon the actors/ actresses i like, seeing the persons inside them rather than a kind of Idols. I think it's more sane... and more respectful for them.

However i appreciate Summer Glau as a person and for the characters she plays.

There is something that shines from Summer: the word i would like to use to characterize what i see in her is "fragility".

I don't know exactly why, maybe because of her ballerina physics first... but maybe also of the drama scenes in which she excels in.

When she cries, you don't know sometimes if it has to deal only with the job (acting) or if there is something else more real, relative to her own life (wounds ?).

I hope people watching Summer tears do not suffer from empathy, if so they should have to prepare their handkerchieves.


When you've got something precious you want to keep, you don't want to break, you write "handle with care" on the box. This is exactly what's coming in my mind when i see Summer Glau.


So, i gave you the back of my thoughts.

Not really a "fan" (posters and so on are not my things...) but i appreciate Summer Glau's work and i think that in real life she's not so far from characters she played (in some scenes).

Long life to her, i hope she will have a great career, and she will know happiness.

In the dark days of our lives, may an angel spares Summer from bad things.

And remember, i am not a "fan".. so imagine what i could write if i were so !
