I guess it's time to open a thread for the 2nd season. I'll just start with my opinion about the first
episode of this season:
I think the first episode was GREAT! There were a few things which I didn't like but finally the episode was awesome. The action and the tension were on a high level, the actors did an excellent job, some relationships changed and the story was good, too.

My favorite scene was when Cameron was sandwiched between the 2 trucks and started begging for mercy, almost cried and then she told John that she loves him. Finally Summer had a real character scene in T:TSCC!!! Hopefully we'll see more like that. Of course it's unknown if that was the "real Cameron" telling John the truth while being afraid to get killed or if that was "evil Cameron" just fooling John in order to get a new chance to kill him. It's just unknown if Cameron repaired herself via running a test program or if John's fumbling around with Cameron's chip really worked. Another thing which I like about this episode is that John'semanzipation from his mum finally started. In the 1st season he was kinda a mummy's darling but now his character seems to become interesting.

But what annyoed me was that the first scene was in slow motion. I don't understand why they needed to do an action scene in slow-motion and imo the slow-motion ruined this scene.

But this got compensated with the final scene! That was brilliant. When Shirely Manson talked with the guy who delivered "The Turk", her character seemed a little bit like a philosophizing Terminator and I always wondered why SkyNet never sent back a Terminator to ensure that it gets built but now I was enlighten. And I'm looking forward to a fight between Summer and Shirley

Btw, the song in the first scene sounds like Shirley Manson sung it.

Yeah it was a great episode.

The scene with Cameron between the 2 Trucks was really great. In other Forums people talk a lot about if it was the "bad" or "good" Cameron.
I think such scenes make a show interesting for the viewers. Both Thomas and Summer played that scene very well and it was great to see that John was confused and maybe a part of him want to believe that all that what Cameron says was real.
But as we can see she overrided her mission objectiv. Reminds me on one sentence Sherly Manson said to that guy at the beginning: " Finding one that will across against the light".
And the scene were he puts the chip in Camerons hand ready to destroy her. Awesome!!! By the way John is a gentleman , he helps Cameron out of the wrack.

The slomo think. I like Slomotion, but it has do be done smooth. At first i thought my PC has some problems.

I don't like that Shirley Manson is a T-1001.
I understand that skynet send someone to ensure that it will be build. But why a T-1001? If they could send this type of Terminator why sending a T-888 to kill John? And the toilet scene was a little bit absurd.
But all in all a fantastic opening. In the preview we could saw cameron pushing John against a wall and saying: "what makes you think I need fixing?".
Can't wait to see the next Episode.

I really liked the start. I didn't have big problems with slow motion or toilet scene. I liked also that Lena got something more interesting to act. The only thing that I didn't understand clearly is "termination override' scene. Does it mean that Cameron overwrote her 'BIOS' by a power of her "mind"? If so, it's a key scene and deserves more time and clear explanation. Hope we'll see more in episode four.

Maybe the Rule "terminate John Connor" was in conflict with another rule like" protect John Connor". Reminds me a little bit of T3 were Arnold does the same as the TX infected his system.
A lot of questions and we have to wait one week.

The episode had it's moments and then again it was not one of the bests...the only part that stood out really was the creepy new Terminator,Cameron goes bad...and John beggining a transformation towards beeing a leader.
I hope we won't get to see one of those terminator crying to manipulate moments again..just didn't like it...
And who will win between Cameron and my favourite type of Terminator...well let's just say Cameron would need a new body.Arnold had problems killing one...
I don't think Cameron is fully returned to the save John Connor mission...she just acted weird..weirder then usual,for a robot i mean...we will see in the next episodes

I understand you but maybe is the production of a T-1000 very complicated (and therewith their quantity limited) and SkyNet had to set priorities. A T-1000 is more effective than other Terminators to build SkyNet because it can use its abilities to infiltrate high security facilities in order to spy necessary information for building SkyNet. And it can use its abilities to observe possible troublemakers and terminate them before they become a threat (as seen in the last scene). The other models couldn't do these things so effective.

As for the question what happened in Cameron's chip during the 'termination override' scene: Maybe the "evil Cameron" wrote the "terminate" order in John's profile in her harddrive and when the "good Cameron" used this profile to identify John, she saw this order, realized that it's wrong and overwrote it. But we've to wait till next week for the answer.

I think the producers just want something from the movie in their show.
I hope that she doesn't sit the hole time in her Chair. Hey its a T-1001 so she has to kick some ass.

I have read an intersting thing in an other Forum.
Somebody wrote that the word "Promise" mean al lot to Cameron. As John said that to her she override her old mission. Same as in Season 1 as she sould promise him not to tell Sarah about Cromartie.

i thought the premiere was one of the best premieres ive ever seen it was filled with plot twists and action

Summer was also awesome in the whole emotional scene

totally agree in the scene where she is between the two trucks and starts talking really human like
with the " i love you " and all

for once we see her express herself in the tscc series.

And that was definitly not the last time.
In Episode 4, i think that we see a few more scenes.
