Hum great ideas but hard to manage. And having the card sent out all over the world might be a total nightmare to organize, plus it risks getting lost or badly damaged on the way. And yeah postal cost would be very high!!!

If I may suggest anoter idea that I've seen working. It's to collect birthday cards (or post cards). And get them all in one sort of book/folder and then ship that to Summer.
It would be simpler to manage and cost less???

And about getting the final thing to Summer, I don't make promises but I can always try to get in touch with either her management or her mum about it.

how would you collect the birthday cards???

why impossible?
sending single birthday cards is not as hard as making one big birthday card circling around the world. And imagine: what if this one big hell of a card will disappear? Post offices suck, we all know that. It's too expensive to take a risk.
So, I prefer Cristelles idea.
We have to decide fast before its too late.

Sry, i mean ryan8374's idea is impossible coz post offices sux.

But what are you decide?

my offer is
Quote:
May be better create a b-day card book with a few pages, 1st page is a сongratulatory picture with a cake and "happy birthday" inscription, another pages would be a personal photos of this forums members with personal wishes near the image.

We can imagine this at internet, posts our photos here, then it would be painted by gifted people, and some good guy in USA (Texas or California would be better to manage) print the book in the special company and send it to Summer agent.

So Summer can watch real photos of here real fans and would be very happy =)

What you decide is differ than my?

So what about the others?

Fanmail rarely has a quick turnaround. It can be months to get something back.

Difficult, not impossible. The whole point was to do something that actually requires effort. It's nothing to send birthday wishes or photos by email to someone who will assemble it all or for everyone to mail their own card and have one person assemble them into a book (which I believe has been done before).

It certainly wouldn't take long for everyone to send a card to one person who would then assemble them in some way; this could remain as a backup to the original idea. Originally, I figured on using the postal service completely, but that's taking a huge gamble as everyone is aware. We could use a mix of postal service and courier, such as UPS, Fedex, etc. I would probably use DHL to get it from the U.S. to U.K., maybe also from the U.K. to Europe. Then, depending on the route across Europe, use the postal service.

How this is done really depends on who will want to participate. Without knowing that, the route can't be plotted and the discussion on postal services is moot.

For those who do wish to participate, please send a note to summercard09@gmail.com . Even if you don't wish to give your street address at this time, at least give your forum name, your city, and zipcode.

OK OK OK OK :]

I have an idea. Its pretty much like Cristelle's idea combined with ryan8374 idea.

I think that we should ALL do what ryan did but not with a card being sent around.
We should have like a postcard or something with a picture of us and our messages to Summer for her birthday BUT we send ALLLL the postcards to Cristelle and she could put them all in a SCRAPBOOK with like bits of our postcards here and there. :]

And Cristelle could send them to Summer's mother in time for Summer's Birthday?

It would be cheap because international post is cheap in Australia ... like $1USD?
Ill ask Cristelle about this ... you guys cool with this?

:]
