I can't believe how little respect NBC has for its viewers... The creators were putting together a special episode? There was nothing special. It was a regular episode. I honestly don't think a single thing was changed from the original filming. It really makes you wonder why it took NBC two weeks to post this episode.

The viewer didn't get any form of closure. Any closure we could've received died with Marty. That put as back at square one. Dana knows Fleming is Chess, but she has no prove. So what does she do? Keep looking for the bums that were rounded up at the railyard?

I know some people are disappointed with the lack of closure with Orwell, but that's actually something I don't mind, because I honestly think Tom planned to make Orwell breakdown completely. And if I have to choose between getting no closure with Orwell or watching her lose her mind in a white room, I'll choose the former every time.

As a regular episode, I enjoyed it. As a finale... We're not idiots, NBC.

When the show was cut short they were already filming episode 10, so I guess they had not much time to change it and its almost impossible to sum up 3 episodes into 1.

That of course is no excuse, but yeah, I had fun while watching it. So at least thats something.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I wasn't expecting NBC to wrap up episodes 11-13. That's unrealistic. But when NBC said the creators were preparing a special episode, I wondered if Tom was going to at least attempt to give us some form of closure. But that obviously didn't happen, so why did it take NBC so long to post the episode?

An easy way to give the viewer closure would've been to allow Marty to get on the train. If Marty crosses state lines, then the FBI can protect him, he can testify against Fleming, Fleming can be taken down, Vince can go back to his family, etc. Doing that wouldn't have required much editing. Cut out Scales shooting Marty and instead have him get on the train, and instead of Fleming talking about arresting Scales, have him talking about Marty's allegations being false, etc.

I agree that the episode was good as a regular episode. I'd say it was one of the better ones. I just think the promotion of it was poorly handled by NBC.

I don't think that a TV channel would ever say that they post an episode online just because the ratings are too low to show it on tv. Of course they call it special episode.

But the promotion...yeah that was quite bad. Not only for this episode. I think it was bad for most of the episodes.

I’m sorry for Summer as she invested so much effort in this show, but I’m not that sorry to see it end. I just hope that Summer gets a chance at something much better than this.

As for a ‘major’ character dying – I think Marty was the only character to get less air time than Orwell.
I wasn’t expecting there to be any closure in this episode and unlike the writers of TSSC they didn’t go out of their way to leave us on the biggest cliff-hanger possible. I still think episode 8 should have been the end – at least we would have been left feeling more optimistic for Orwell’s recovery.
