My comments will be short. That final scene made me furious. If the Wheelers intend to tear down Orwell's character by making her go completely insane, then I want no part of it.

I'll be getting a friend to watch 110 first, and if this issue isn't resolved, then I won't be watching the episode. That scene soured me on the entire series.

I can't believe the way the Wheelers have portrayed women in this show...

I see it almost the same way you did. Almost no Summer, the scene at the end didn't make that much sense to me. I liked the crazy Orwell part a bit, but we have seen these kind of scenes so many times. It would have been nice, if they had done something different that makes more sense.

The problem I have is, that we don't know much about Orwell and her thoughts so this scene is misplaced and just doesn't fit. All in all, the series had almost no Summer in it and she is one of the Lead actors.

I don't know, let's wait and see whats coming in this special episode 10.

A very disappointing episode – if this is how things are heading after the high point of the last two episodes I’m not surprised episode 10 will not air on TV. I think they would have been better to have finished with episode 8.

I feel really sorry for Summer with how this show has worked out – all the interviews she gave indicated how positive she was about the role and the enthusiasm she showed promoting the show must make the lack of success hard to take. She has been very badly letdown by the writers/producers I think.

Definitely not her fault though – the only time the show came alive was when Orwell and to a lesser extent Max Malini were centre stage. For co-stars they weren’t given their fair share of the screen time throughout the series.

I couldn’t help thinking that even Good Morning Rabbit would have had a better chance than this.

Dave,

This show has been such a disaster. I truly feel for Summer. Like you said, she was so excited, and Tom let her down. He let everyone down, but particularly the women, and Summer. I haven't been impressed with the way any of the female characters have been written.

Dana is weepy, emotional, and erratic. Even when she's supposed to appear strong, she comes across as wild and hysterical. So far Riai has been little more than eye-candy.

Dice started off strong, but then she was tore down in a hurry. First Fleming got the best of her in their exchange at the T.r.a.c.e launch. Then she was forced to scamper away when The Cape showed up. Then she got punched and handcuffed by Orwell. So her character took a nose dive in the last 10 minutes of 105.

Then there's Orwell. She was completely useless and helpless in the first four episodes. She didn't really bring anything to the partnership with Vince, and Vince had to constantly rescue her. We didn't see her do anything until 105. We continued to see slight improvements in later episodes, but then her character started to lose it again in 108 with the wedding to Vince and screaming out for him. And now she's on the verge of a complete mental breakdown.

It's looking like Tom is going to tear down Orwell like he tore down Dice in 105. I'm not impressed. Summer deserves so much better.

I honestly can't wait for this show to be done so she can start distancing herself from it. Appearing in Esquire was good. Knights of Badassdom will help. Hopefully The Legend of Hell's Gate will also be released.

(Kind of posted a novel, didn't I? haha)

Yea I agree with all of you, difficult to say much about Summer's performance, considering how little of this there was. Someone (Kevin i think) was saying that the final scene looked like they just went off to the nearest pub and left Summer alone to paint the set.

Personally I think he's onto something here guys. :)

Maybe the budget at NBC is so tight that they have to get the actors to paint the sets.

Either that or they plan to start a new renovation show starring Summer (Now that's actually a good idea...)

That is all. :ugeek:
