I found this recent news about The Cape on:

Most expensive... likely to air: the odds are good. They have to make it profitable if it has been expensive. :mrgreen:

one of the most famous young women in the sci-fi... Yes that's true, but they haven't found out yet that she's much more than that. That'll come in its time, no doubt.

This doesn't look promising or good for her.She doesn't look like a main character at all(maybe the promo poster picture is deceiving ),i hope im so wrong cause i miss seeing her on the screen.

Glad she finally gave up on fox ,bunch of twats who love to ruin her career.

a quite long audio interview with Summer and Keith David... it's a bit noisy, sometimes it's very hard to understand the questions, but it's enjoyable!

This is not the first time I see/hear that. What makes you think so?
My thought is that, Orwell could be a major character in her postion. Maybe not a good comparison, but a little like logan in Dark Angel. Not that I'm thinking they can have an affair.

from Summers interviews about the show its "appears" that her role could be a main role, i really hope so anyway because she deserves it after all the heartache of shows being cancelled, sounds like she'll have some action scenes too thoughm just lookin forward to seeing her on screen again

I really hope so, too! The role has great potential, so we can be sure Summer will make the best of it, knowing her talent. But she needs little help from the writers.
That said, I heard about some incredible performances that lead the writers to make the role more important.

I believe her character will have a major role in the show. I also believe the show has great potential. Look at "Smallville", in its 10th and 'final' season.

I was hoping "The Cape" would aire in this fall/winter of 2010, but now it appears not to on the horizon till 2011. Does anyone have the inside scoop of an actual aire date for the "pilot"? Will "The Cape" headline the 2011 winter shows, while all the other networks major offerings are on winter break? [just thinking aloud on this question]

I miss not seeing Summer on the big and small screen. Like most of you here, I continue to watch Summer in Firefly/Serenity, and TSCC on DVD.

Oh, will be watching out for Summer in "Chuck". Hmmmm, would like to see her in "Castle" and "V" as well. (more reunions)

Oh, damn how I wish she could be in Castle and V!! For the latter, I don't know if I'd prefer her to be a human or a V... :?:
