The Cape: The first photo released from this series last week did not inspire confidence – it was a very obviously photoshopped image of a guy in a terrible looking superhero suit. Thankfully, the trailer didn't come close to matching the vibe that photo gave off. Not that I'm completely sold, mind you, as there is an inhernt goofiness to the proceedings in the trailer, that constantly seems to flirt with crossing the line into unintentional camp. But overall, I felt The Cape looked like fun. I especially liked the glimpses we get of how our hero, The Cape, is taught by a circus member (Keith David), using magicians' tricks to help in his fight – and the way the cape itself is used as a weapon (grabbing a knife and such) is also silly, yet kind of awesome. Will it work week to week? We shall see. One thing's for sure - there better be more Summer Glau in this series than the trailer seems to suggest! (Fortunately, I hear there will be)
