I'm really sorry to bother you, but I'm having problems in trying to add an avatar to my profile... I'm not an expert at all, so probably I'm missing something basic...
Here is what I do:
I go to "User Control Panel", then click "Profile" and finally "Edit Profile"; I would expect the interface to allow me to upload a picture from my HD or to add an url, but I only see a gray square and a command "Display Gallery" (I think it should be used if some avatars were added by the administrator, but I'm not sure...).
If someone could please help me, I'd very grateful.

I know that something is wrong with the upload. Maybe its a problem or its deactivated.
I don't know. When I know more or its fixed I will write it here.
So you have to be a bit patience till this is fixed.

Yes, I generally use Firefox, but I tried with IE, too... it appears to be the same.
I thought it was my fault, since I'm not an expert...

Norman is right: I've just checked the Avatar section, the "Upload" button has disappeared, there is not chance to upload an avatar.

ok, thank you... at first I thought it could depend by my lack of experience or that I had to wait to reach a certain number of posts to edit my profile but it appears to be a technical problem or that the administrator deactivated this option...
