Personally I don't vote on "those" kind of polls. "River vs Cameron"=Summer vs Summer, real lame in my opinion. As are the Cameron/River vs Dr. Who or anyone else. (It's a no brainer)

The comments by some people leave a lot to be desired as well. Everyone is entitled to an opinion but you have to wonder at the age of some of the posters.

I must admit that sometimes I get carried away, (by the moment) but Summer's personal (ahem) attributes are just that, "personal". :oops:

I value the "whole" person, not just outward appearance.

The cliche "beauty is only skin deep", is TRUE as it may not match the personality. In Summer's case beauty and personality are in harmony. Summer is an honest, sincere, caring, giving, hard working person. No one has burst my bubble to think otherwise. :mrgreen:

Now the polls for TV series, favorite actor/actress, awards, etc I will vote, if I know about them.

I don't see myself as a nerd or geek, as sometimes circumstances guide our activities.

This is my all-time favourite comment on this site. I feel like everything you wrote could've been my words .. only more eloquent.

Only difference is I did vote a few times on that poll. I initially thought it was a bit of harmless fun .. which is what it was intended to be. I just started to feel uncomfortable with the excessiveness of the response.

The amount of positive, and possibly extreme, stuff there is on the net about Summer now probably does increase peoples awareness of her, but it also makes some of her fans look a bit loony.

Specially about Summer's beauty and personality being in harmony. It's a wonderful, DIVINE harmony ^^ Something like a brute* diamond which never was polished, but it's the most wonderful diamond ever found...

There's a saying here that says: "Nem tanto à terra, nem tanto ao mar"
It means something like "Nor too much to the land nor to the sea" :mrgreen:

There's a fine line between a fan and a weird, it's up to us not cross it (despite sometimes it seems that we crossed, even myself thought about this. But it was momentary). In the end, a balance must be kept, NOT going to an extreme or the other (going = not good

Wow Rod... I like the image of the diamond in the rough about Summer. Good analogy. Oh and the line beween wierdo and devoted fan is one that can move back and forth a bit. However it is a line that once it gets crossed it is evident.

I guess Summer wins because she is different than other women stars, she's unique thats all and not because she has tits DAMN !!!!

She's a woman and women has tits thats the difference between men and women, I didn't adore her because she hats a pair of it now. I am a fan of her because she's cute and different, beautyful, shy and unique.

Thats the way I am a Summer Glau fan !!!

I absolutely agree with that. She's the Girl in the Corner everybody ignores... except US.
we're not nerds and we ain't geeks, and we're not a buncha weirdos (except for me, I'm weird.)

We like her because she's that girl from out of nowhere.

River's pretty much beaten everyone on there because
1. we wanna see her again. (and we had our way, Joss would at least have plans for it)
2. anything to put our girl on the map. (crazed? maybe but that's how we do it.)
3. if noone else has heard of her, we've already made sure otherwise by now.
