If you look around the internet at polls or data related to Summer Glau you'll realise that there's something pretty amazing going on.

That's Summer's profile on Rotten Tomatoes. It's a site that ranks movies and tv shows and actors. Summer's 'tomatometer' is at 100%. Compare that to any other actor/actresss you like. I don't think you'll find anyone else at 100%

That's the link to TV.com .. again it's Summers profile. Her 'person score' is at 9.5. I'm pretty sure that's as high as it goes. Again .. compare that to anyone else you like.

I just read on twitter that there's still a poll that is months old that never closed that you might remember for top female star. Summer has over 145 MILLION votes, the next is Miley Cyrus with only 31 million and the others only have 0.4 share of the votes.

If you look at Youtube at almost any video, with a few exeptions, related to Summer, it will have 4-5 stars.

... and now you have the poll at io9. Summer has gone against some of the toughest characters that have ever been on tv and she hasn't just beaten them in the poll .. she's absolutely destroyed them.

My point?

I THINK SUMMER GETS IT. WE LIKE HER!!

Summer is the best, I never had any doubts about that fact.

Yes, you're right. Of course we deeply love Summer but personally I think that being so extreme could be deleterious and appearing slightly insane or mad.

I mean, it could create the sensation that Summer's fans are a bunch of nerds or geeks that spent all their time busting all polls around the net that have Summer in it, proving that they haven't nothing better to do in their life...

Maybe people sometimes becoming a little bit overambitious.
But we also shouldn't worry to much about what people might think about "us".

Yes you're right but I'm also a bit concerned about what people might think about Summer.

I mean, I know that I'm not a nerd and I voted only one time to that polls (a part for River vs Cameron where I voted for both ), so such kind of article or comments really doesn't touch me but, when I read comments like: "Summer (yes, not River) wins because she have tits" well... I don't like it!!

I think that Summer doesn't deserve this and I'm concerned that such kind of troll behavior might damage her image.

Ok we, as her fans, known well that she's different but if this kind of "bad reputation" raises from "nerdy confined website" to, for example, "important newspaper" could have deleterious effects on his career.

Or maybe I'm just a bit apprehensive when talking about Summer.

Personally I don't vote on "those" kind of polls. "River vs Cameron"=Summer vs Summer, real lame in my opinion. As are the Cameron/River vs Dr. Who or anyone else. (It's a no brainer)

The comments by some people leave a lot to be desired as well. Everyone is entitled to an opinion but you have to wonder at the age of some of the posters.

I must admit that sometimes I get carried away, (by the moment) but Summer's personal (ahem) attributes are just that, "personal". I value the "whole" person, not just outward appearance.

The cliche "beauty is only skin deep", is TRUE as it may not match the personality. In Summer's case beauty and personality are in harmony. Summer is an honest, sincere, caring, giving, hard working person. No one has burst my bubble to think otherwise.

Now the polls for TV series, favorite actor/actress, awards, etc I will vote, if I know about them.

I don't see myself as a nerd or geek, as sometimes circumstances guide our activities.

Well, I saw the River vs Cameron's poll on twitter posted by ashman01 and I followed it as a TSCC fan. Until this poll thing were going ahead normally, then something crazy happened (last time I've checked the votes, there were 45000 ).



Well, I think that there are no problems on them until they are referred to the character (oook, some comments shouldn't even exists anyway ), but when they are moved to the actress who play it....



Well, as a friend of mine is used to say: "We are all mammals".
Summer is a gorgeous woman, hands down... but marvelously she is also a wonderful soul.



Well, my appreciation, love and faith in Summer is of course untouched!! It takes a lot more and more than a couple of comments sexist and idiotic.

I think it does more good than harm. It'll bring her name out to people who maybe never knew who she was. Some people there didn't take it too well but that effect is nowhere as big as getting her name out. I think it's awesome River Tam beat up everyone.

FYI I only voted once and that was for Cameron, River took her down too.

Well, ok, it'll bring her name out... but "what" name? I mean, an actress were her fans are a bunch of nerds that spend their lives surfing the net busting all the poll with her in it?


Of course, I'm not telling that it's true but I'm concerned that it could be the transmitted sensation...

I rather prefer a scenario:

Q: "Who is she?"
A: "Summer Glau"
Q: "Summer who?"

then

Q: "Who is she?"
A: "Summer Glau"
Q: "Ah, those actress that is loved by internet geeks and retarded nerds"


But, well, probably as I wrote to Norman,it's that maybe I'm a little apprehensive when we are talking about Summer.
