Hobbies, huh? Let the geekness begin!

I'm a big aviation fan so when I was a bit younger I used to collect those 1:72 scale models. I still have them, many still in the box not even touched. Love them but don't have the nerves to make them any more, just keep the best of them on display.
I'm collecting (or was collecting) packaged sugar - you know the one that you get with your coffee. I have about 600 different sugars so far and still get new ones here and there but I find it rather hard to store them in a suitable way so most of them are now in boxes. Found out a nearly perfect way to display them is in those big file cases that are used by people who collect coins - the sugar packages fit perfectly in the pockets for the coins but it takes a whole lot of space.
Like Mei Mei I love going to the shooting range, usually using Glock 19C or H&K Mark23. Desert Eagle is kind of fun but it's freaking heavy and it costs $3 per shot so you can imagine it's not too often I get to use it :) I also used to go to airsoft wars in the weekend back when I wasn't working. Now that was fun!

But my bigges hobbie remains movies. Movies give me everything - while I'm watching a movie I get completely cut off from reality and I really love to do this. I'm watching movies or TV shows for at least 2 hours every single night. I collect movies and TV shows, I read about them (I spend at least a couple of hours a day in IMDb and exploring it's external links), I quote them in everyday life and I learn a lot of them. So I guess that's my biggest hobbie ever.

Not really bodybuilding. Its just a good way to get you exhausted and i like it when I'm almost dead after sport. But currently I'm more into cycling and jogging.

Aha :lol: sorry I guess I misunderstand :D
Yeah i know that feeling pretty well and it`s really amazing ;)

Wow really glad to hear that.I didn`t know that there are some "fitness freaks" :lol: here, that is great.It `a a very nice thing that people are beginning to care more for there health and look of course.Previous summer I worked as a instructor in a gym and I couldn`t notice how many young ppl (even a lot younger then me) are preferring training,before the whole day in front of the computer or something ....
That I think is a good thing :D

My hobbies vary throughout the year but generally they are as follows:

Photography - This comes and goes when I have the time and money.
Art, media and design. - Art Deco, love the 30's styling, Bauhaus movement etc.
Movies & tv - Horror, sci-fi, action, comedy, classic Hollywood (30's, 40's & 50's).
Working out - usually about 3 times a week.
Reading - about different cultures and countries.
Walking - I like to get out and about.
Football - Manchester United.
F1 - when it's not destroying itself with politics and in-fighting.
Motorsport in general.
Retro gaming - Dreamcast (the best console ever in my opinion), Saturn, Sinclair Spectrum (vary rarely now).
Xbox 360 - My gamer score in barely over 700 so I'm not on it much although I do enjoy it.
Anime - not into it as much as I used to be, but I have recently been going through some old VHS tapes and replacing them with DVD versions.
Spending time out in the garden and soaking up the sun.
Building things - I actually like to do DIY around the house.

Wow, everybody has such wonderful and interesting hobbies.

Before getting into MY current hobbies I will comment about some hobbies of yours.

Body Building - used to, but now suffer from 3 compression fractures, so only use light weights to keep from loosing what muscle mass I have left and re-build arm muscle mass;

Horse Back Riding - used to for pleasure, not recently because of: "read above", + it is expensive (may try in the future, walk or slow canter), [really miss it, I love horses];

Musical instruments - my father wanted me to learn the guitar but I never did, I messed with recorder in school and keyboards after, but never really had any serious interest;

Singing - used to sing in church and at home, but now I sound better in the shower; :lol: (ask my neighbours) :mrgreen:

Reading - used to read a lot, but not to much anymore, mainly FanFic's, online Forum's, technical publications, etc;

Computer Programing - used to do C++ programing in Linux, quit that when I moved to the Windows OS in 1999;

Languages - took 3 years of French, spoken/written (been there, done that), sort of wish now that I had of kept up with it, (can hardly speak it anymore, and writing, No);

Current Hobbies:

Amateur Astronomy - have a 150mm X 750mm f/5.0 Altazimuth Reflector with Dobsonian mount;

Amateur Radio - hold advanced license, so I can converse using all frequencies and modes of operation, analog and digital that Canada allows;

Mostly anything Computer Related - beta test PC games when I can and am picked. Of note I beta-tested "Il-2 Sturmovik" for all you WW-II aviation fans (yep my name is in the credits), and "Panzer Elite" beta testing under the PanzerEliteDesignGroup; :ugeek:

Play a lot of PC games, WW-II, Flight Sims, Space, Mechs, Nascar, strategy, first/third person shooters, and RTS (got to try and keep the reflexes/hand/eye cordination); :geek:

Computer chat (text/VOiP), and forum's "like this one" so I can type to you fine people. (about you know who) :oops: :D

Photography - used to consume a good lot of my time, but now I just snap what I find interesting with my cheap digital. ;)

Other Odds and Ends - walking and hiking as much as my body will allow right now. Cooking - yes I love to cook and get a kick out of "Gordon Ramsey's Hell's Kitchen". :lol: Oh!, and watching women, isn't the female body a wonder to behold. :oops: ;)

[That's all for now folks]
