On every Convention there are Parties in the evening.
So does anybody - who already had visited a convention - know, if Summer ever attend at this parties?

Well, T1 would be my first (hopefully) convention, but from the movies on Starfury site I know Jewel Staite went to the parties of the Firefly Convention. Can't remember if Summer did, but you I can check out. The parties aren't mandatory for the guests I suppose, but knowing how Summer loves her fans I believe she'll at least come for a while to say "hi". Or maybe it's "hope" is a word better than "believe"

I hope too that she comes to the Fedcon party, would be great.

Well congratulations Malcolm! And no, 85 Pound a night in a double room is way too much. And Hilton ain't that good hotel to pay for a name. I'm planning on staying in a hostel (gotta keep it as cheap as possible, the trip is gonna cost me a lot) Birmingham Central Backpackers. It's about 50 Euro in a 8 bed mixed dorm or 105 Euro in a single room with shared bathroom. That is for 3 nights - 23/24, 24/25 and 25/26 of April. The drawback is it's in central Birmingham and the con is about 10-15miles away so it would take time traveling and if the parties go till late will need to spend cash on taxi. But in anyway would be cheaper than staying at the con hotel.

But hey, it's still 3 months till the con, maybe a better offer will pop up

Also sorry to sound like a muppet but can those who pay for the 'Adult' ticket still get autographs and stuff? Or just 'Gold' people?

Turns out I can get the money and probably the Train up to Birmingham but must stay in a Hostile or something, anyone know any good ones?

Hello and welcome to the forum! No, no confirmation about gold ticket, only the credit card cherged with 150Pund by TOMCAT PRODUCTIONS. And yes, normal tickets get autographs too, the gold ticket gives access to the meet and great and better seatings but nothing else more than a normal ticket. I've never been to UK or a hostel but the hostel I posted here had a pretty descent score (86% I think) from 270 reviewers. YOu might want to check it out as it's also the cheapest one I found in Birmingham.

Ah cool, I might just stay at the Hilton for the couple of nights.

Is Summer confirmed? Or is it just speculation at this point?

She is confirmed, but you can never be 100% sure she will come as it's 3 months till the convention and anything can happen. However I believe everything will be ok and she will be there. She has attended previous Starfury conventions as well.

Sweet, just booked my Adult ticket for Starfury and a room in the Con Hotel, expensive I know but managed to squeeze a bit of money from other places

I emailed the organiser of the event to ask if she was confirmed and apparently they all sign a contract to attend. Sweet.

Question though: what are you bringing for her to sign? A4 picture on photographic paper?
