Discussion thread for episode 5 'Dice' of The Cape.

Still not enough of Summer again and if they are cancelling the last few episodes we may never get to see the Orwell backstory which was supposed to be at the end of the series.

I couldn’t easily decide how to vote on this one – the story was more interesting than last weeks, but the odd thing was I felt Faraday/The Cape kept spoiling the episode by getting in the way of what was shaping up to be a interesting plot.

I have revised my opinion of where I think the main weakness of the show lies; unfortunately for me it is with the lead character Faraday. Everyone else comes across as much more interesting – it doesn’t bode well for the show if the supporting cast give better performances and appear to have better written parts.

Maybe we should start campaigning for an Orwell spin off series.

Vince's family really started to annoy me this episode, it's just way to cheesy. And seriously, Mena Suvari as Dice? she should be like 18 years old according to the episode (she was a little girl playing with dolls 10 years ago). And Mena is almost 32 now

I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of Orwell we got in this episode. I honestly wasn't expecting to see her much. I thought for sure her role would consist of her getting beat up by Dice and needing to be rescued by The Cape. I absolutely loved seeing Orwell get some revenge against Dice.

And for the first time in the series we got to see a useful Orwell. I enjoyed watching her tap into the security cameras, check out Dice's apartment with Vince, and then zap the guard (poor guy ) and do some work on the computer. It was fun. This is the Orwell I'd been waiting for. I'm a little disappointed that it took them this long to give us the Orwell we were promised.

Overall, I enjoyed this episode. I'd put it up there with Kozmo. Although I think so far Gregor has been the best bad guy. Cain was one-dimensional, and I didn't really care for Dice. I think Gregor set the standard.
