I just found out that the screening was only available to those in North America. That's disappointing, but if I can be honest, you guys didn't miss much. Summer had maybe 6-7 minutes of total screen time, and the movie was about an hour and 40 minutes. Aside from a couple quick flashes of her during the opening chase, she didn't make her first appearance until 35 minutes in. That said, I thought she was excellent. She was expressive, which was great. It's not something we get to see often from her because she always plays such serious characters.

The story seemed to wander at times. I think what made up for it was the excellent conclusion. Some of the characters were interesting, like John St. Helen and the hunter. I'm sorry to say that Tanner Beard was awful, especially in his introduction when he meets the girl and goes to the dentist.

Overall it was OK, but nothing to write home about. I'll likely only buy the DVD because it has Summer, and as a major fanboy, I buy everything with her.

Thanks for the info. :)
Sad to read that she only had a few scenes, but I somehow had that feeling that she wouldn't be that much in the movie.

The technical side, thats a different thing. I can not understand how a company can make such mistakes, I even bought a movie before to check if its working and it did. Of course nobody can blame cast and crew. But I can imagine that it was really disappointing for most of the people. Not because of the money, but they had to get up early to watch it and they were all extreme excited.

I don't like to say it, but thats why people download movies.

I should mention, the reason Summer has so little screen time is because she wasn't part of the main cast. The main characters are on the run, and they have brief encounters with a bunch of other characters, Summer being one.

Like you, Norman, I had a feeling her role would be minimal, but I didn't think she'd only have 6-7 minutes. That was a little surprising.

But it was cool to see her ride a horse, and it looked like she had good control of it. :D

Thanks for the reviews.

Well at least this will add to her resume and it is one more thing to get her work out there and build her reputation. I look forward to seeing the movie if it ever gets theatre distribution in Canada or I can buy the DVD.

Go Summer!

My DVD came in the mail today, so I popped it in. I must admit, it was slightly better the second time. I think part of the problem the first time was not knowing how big Summer's role would be, so I spent the first 35 minutes thinking, "I thought Summer was supposed to be in this?" lol That said, I still think Tanner Beard was awful.

It was OK, but I do prefer her other movies, not only because she has more screen time, but also because they're more entertaining. Mammoth is just a fun and silly movie, whereas Legend has a much more serious tone.
