This is a bit old. I've been reading that it will be someone else. I don't remember who. I'll have to look it up.

edit: Many want Megan Fox as the new Tomb Raider, but she has apparently turned it down, not wanting to have herself compared to Angelina.

Kim Kardashian is supposedly in talks with producers for the role.

It doesn't surprise me. I imagine Eidos is 'in talks' with many potential actresses to portray Lara Croft. Summer has the profile they're looking for. A young actress that is not widely famous (yet), but confirmed acting and fighting skills.
Remember that Tomb Raider was the movie that made Angelina Jolie a worldwide star, even if the movie didn't produce huge revenues.

As a Nintendo fan I'd prefer seeing a Metroid movie than a Tomb Raider movie. If there'll ever be a Metroid movie, Summer will have to wear the robot suit and have her face covered for half of the movie, but I hope we'll get to see her in the blue suit as well. :wub:

Nothing wrong w/ Lara Croft, but after Angelina Jolie made the character's debut in the big screen kinda "marked" Lara...I mean, now when I think about Tomb Raider, I always see Angelina as 1st choice. [no, I'm not a crazy fanboy of her, it's just an impression...like a fingerprint
