I think you were so close but missed your own point.
Let me fix it for you:
She is a human being first and celebrity second.

I agree that she is a person first and that being a celebrity is an outcome of her hard work and good fortune (expressed as percentages of 98 percent hard work and 2 percent luck).

My real point has nothing to do with Summer Glau. I was just trying to reconcile what happened to me in becoming a fan and the thinking I had to go through to reach a new and more balanced understanding. I feel that I have gone past an initial stage of fascination to a second stage where I am more detached although no less interested in Summer Glau's work. Thus, I feel more confident in being able to realistically assess and appreciate her work. I still think she is a very good actress.

In reading back into the archives, around 2009, I notice that a lot of people that used to post here no longer do so, or they do so very infrequently. That had puzzled me before; now it no longer does.

work. I too noticed the lack of posting. What really gets me is those who signed up and

No worries. I didn't take it any other way. I meant to reply sooner but I have been busy with renovations and getting a house ready for sale. Gotta love contractors.

I think that the problem with social networking sites is sometime it gets too personal and people get to a point where they invade the privacy of a person and it does not end up all too good that the person might just have a bad image or be misinterpreted that is why some people avoid these especially those that have an image to uphold. I think this is due to the fact that some people really take advantage of these social networking sites that is why some stars really don't like the idea of joining in such
