So I collect a lot of Summer t-shirts (I think I've 11 or 12 now), and I'm trying to decide if I should fold or hang them. Right now I have them folded, but I don't like the creases. I've been asking everyone this question. Some say you can hang t-shirts, and you won't end up with creases as long as your closet isn't overflowing. Others say to fold cotton t-shirts (which most of mine are), but they don't explain why. I even asked my mom (lol), and she said you could probably hang them as long as you don't use the wire hangers as those will leave a mark along the shoulders. That's not an issue since I use plastic hangers.

What do you guys think? Does it matter? Am I over-thinking it (good chance I am lol)?

I must say that I never thought about such thinks. The only thing I can add to this is, that if it creates creases don't fold them. So the only option would be to hang them with plastic hangers. Or put them in a picture frame and hang those. ;)

Whenever I go on vacation I lay my t-shirts down in my suitcase without folding them, one on top of another. I can literally go for almost a week without having to use an iron. If you take them out and hang them over a chair each time you open your suitcase, they'll be fine. Now, this doesn't exactly pertain to you since you aren't putting them in a suitcase, but if you do hang them, use plastic hangers that are somewhat thick, and if need be, occasionally drape them over a chair with a thick back.

usually i like my cotton shirts folded becasue they might take up so much space in my closet and the ones that i usually hang are my longer tops or dresses. I suggest that if you do want to save space just fold them bu then don't overstack them, that causes the creases, just stack it in probably an under bed storage box in a pile of 4 shirts, that way they don't have much weight to prevent the creases
