HOW CAN U BE DISAPPOINTED? so many new features and best if all no annoying host ended game. This game is gunna be ace.

It seem to be that the PC version of MW2 is just a conversion of console ones.
That IW is hosting the servers is terrible. I know that they hosted servers for other games and the pings where horrible and that also kills the mod support, if nobody can run dedicated servers. They also cut the leaning. I guess they wanted to reduce the complexity for console users.

The problem is that it is more for casual gamers than for the so called "core" gamers.
Its definitely a step backwards and I would love to see the game fail. But most of the people were attracted by the hype and will pay the price if they get the game.

Looks like an interesting game.

That game is just ridiculous bad. Its not worth having the name Operation Flashpoint in it. It hasn't even a campaign. Both bohemia and codemasters couldn't create a sequel to the great OFP 1.

A German magazine tested modern warfare 2 on consoles and they said that playing with Europeans is OK , but with Americans the ping is partially bad. Hopefully they can fix this.

I'm dissapointed because the Multiplayer sucks!!because of the lack of dedicated server...(the PC Versions of Cod 4/5 all had dedicated server) so there is only matchmaking and for me as a competion player it sucks when i can't play on "my" server with people i know and rules and maps i like...not to mention a ping above 100ms (and that was in a closed beta-MP test of infinity ward with only good connections) and for 6-7 hours singleplayer i don't spend that amount of money ...20€ ok but not up to 50€...

Yes but this is where you should get a console.
The multiplayer will have its problems but the gameplay and the new online features eg killstreaks just sounds so brilliant. and that there will be no more ANNOYING host ended game on consoles. That is half the problem gone for consoles that is.

A gamepad can never be as good as a mouse and a keyboard in shooter. When I play such games I want to have full control and thats the reason why I play on PC.

I guess they didn't set up dedicated server functionality because of piracy. But they should say that and don't hide the true reasons behind such ridiculous ones.

If somebody hosts a game on MW2 and cancels the connection all players have to wait up to 5 seconds until they can play again and thats the only way to run a private game on MW2. Its great to have dedicated servers for clans and I like it to visit these servers and play with the same people there.

And Kill streaks aren't new. They only expand it in MW2. New in MW 2 are death streaks.

Absolutly right!! and the new Kill/Deathstrek features like the tactical nuke aren't new...they took this idea from the moder-scene of MW1 ... lol and now they don't want these people to "play" there new game...as long as the masterserver of MW1 is still active...ok...but i guess they will cancel it soon...

I had the time to play the game by a friend.
About the Single player. Its good, the story is ridiculous, but its Call of Duty and I don't expect a good story. I expect non stop action and good scripted scenes and thats what you get. Its really cool but a little but to short. It took me about 6 hours to beat the game on the second hardest level.

About the Multilayer. Its not bad, no its horrible.
So that there are no servers and only p2p games it happens very often that the game
starts to lag. The players just "jumping" around the map and be sure that you get kill often because of these lags. The other problem is. If the host leaves or disconnects or has other problems you have to wait 5 seconds until the game has found a new host and than another 20 seconds. After every match it goes back to the lobby and you have to wait at least 1 minute until a new round begins. If you play search and destroy which has a score limit of 4 (first to 4) it will be a pain in the ass to return every time back to the lobby.

But you get rewarded. Yeah for everything, for killing enemies, for getting killed, for jumping, For doing nothing. It happens so often that sometimes you get 5 or 6 rewards for one kill and that can be very disturbing.

Its very bad that you can't join a server like in MW1, which has own setthings, like a different score limit or maybe some weapons blocked or a custom map rotation.
Than some day you will have all rewards and what counts than is the game itself.
