I'm not sure that I'm on the good part of the forum, so if it is, I'm sorry !

I have created this topic to speak about Summer's reputation, how people who aren't fan see her.
I mean, what they actually think about her, if they think she is juste an unknown actress, or else.

The only people that could answer this question are the ones that are not fans and I doubt that they will register here.

A different question would be, in what box the media puts Summer. In general its very interesting how the media affects the way people notice a person.

I think she was unanimously hailed for her performance as River Tam in Firefly. Her role as Cameron divided people.
People who didn't see the subtleness of her play say she wasn't credible, most people found she was terrific. Cameron's TSCC preferred character and it's thank to her.
She's from the Whedon verse so after these two roles she earned a reputation of good actress for scifi TV shows but she tries not to be limited to that.
I think it's a bit too early to say how her latest performances will be commented.

Media? I take no stock in or listen to the media, nor do I believe anything they say.
If the people lead, the media will follow. Kicking and screaming.

Me too don´t care of what media say/write about Summer. I became a fan of Summer because of herself and her work. I heard what she has said and saw her acting and then form a view on Summer.
Afterwards i noticed the media: Some positive, some negative. But the media don´t ever chance my opinion about Summer.
Nevertheless i read what is told by media because i find the correlation between media, people and also fans of Summer interesting, too.

I agree with We'll see, this way is a bit complicated, I think every person has his own opinion .
