Keep it going guys... any other good stories out there as to how YOU came to admire Summer?

Ohh I simply adore her in each interview she did!!

I really enjoy her facial expressions: she has a big collection of samples, some very funnny other very lovable (I prefer those, sometime I really feel the urgent push to hug her ;) ).

I love her way to tilt her head when she is listening to her interviewer, I love her manner to fight her shyness (for example twisting her legs or hands, tormenting a chair's arm, or fiddling with her shoes :) ) Xscott, I think you are right: that's the way she like to be physical and we all love it!

@Kirirur: I LOVE her facial expressions too!!! They range from downright adorable to beautiful to hilarious. You know what I mean? Even the funny ones are beautiful too. Those new pictures Cristelle posted (Thanks Cristelle!!) have some wonderful examples of that.

@ David: I am new to the forum too and had never done a thread her before... What is an "introduction" thread? Maybe this one could be it since I started it?

Hey guys. I'm new to the forums but i've posted stuff quite a few times on the homepage. Finally decided to join the forums .. not sure why it took me so long.

It's simple to think of the answer to this question. One word ... River.
I absolutely adore that character and the way Summer portrayed her was truly memorable and moving. Firefly is possibly the only show that I can say I like each character almost equally and yet there was something about Summer that immediately made me want to learn more about her. So I did .. and you guys know the rest of the story ...

To me the mystery is how anyone could not find Summer incredibly endearing. She just plain IS. I have a several friends who're equally big fans of Firefly and to them Summer is just the actress that plays one of the characters on the show. I honestly can't understand how they can't see her special appeal. I guess there's just something about her that appeals to a certain type of person.

Unlike some of you guys I honestly don't think i'd like to meet her though. It just doesn't seem like a quick meet and greet at a Con is my idea of a good time. I'm quite content to have her on my tv screen and to seek out videos of her interviews etc.. It's enough for me.

@ Case: Welcome!! I am new to this too although I had been looking at the site for a long time. I joined a little over a month ago so I could post. Yep it was River for me too... that did it. And I don't know how anyone could not find Summer endearing too... unless you have problem with people who appear to be so nice and kind. Some people don't like nice guys ever (maybe they are suspicious of them and don't trust them), and that same segment probably wouldn't like nice girls/women too... maybe for different reasons. I would love to meet her... just because she is so lovely, humble and sweet.

As far as I am concerned you can never meet enough people like that. :)

River Forever :D !!! who even now is one of the most memorable fictional characters out there for me, when i saw her in Serenity and then Firefly i could not possibly imagine anyone else that could fit the role and create such a character that i can geniunely feel for. Summer quite simply said is Perfect in all her roles including Cameron and Crystal from the unit, hell i even loved her in The Initiation of Sarah and Mammoth...heck even her shorts from The Big Bang Thoery were good for me....does that cover it all  .

And yeah from watching Summer in both real-life interviews and her on screen performances and learning what i can about the person behind the chracters that she plays, you definetly get a feel that she is playing her chracters from within and that because she puts so much of herself into her work that she in turn reflects apsects of her own personality in her characters and this leads to you spotting similarities between them. She also very dedicated and passionate about what she does and with that she performs every time with such beauty and grace :) which i LOVE!.

She is defintetly the one Actress that i've truly felt connected to when watching her and this is a rare gift for an Actor/Actress to have. She is so amazing i could just write endlessy about how completely Devine a person she truly is but like Scott said i would run out of adjectives and still feel like i havent done her justice :) , just thinking of Summer for me is just Heavenly.

I Love you Summer! :D :D

@Dr. Horrible: Yes there is definitely a piece of Summer in each of her characters, that's one reason I find her so fascinating as an actress, and that is how she connects with those of us who are fans, there is an element of "realness" in every character portrayal, and it shows up in her real life apprearances. The mannerisms that she has that Case mentioned... you can just see them every where once you know how to look for them.

Thanks Joe for the find. Loved that article. It was a perfect description of who and what Summer is.

Well, in theory no. In general in all the forums there is an apposite section where new users open a topic and speak a little about themself. You can find some examples here. ;) ;)

We should found the anonymous Summerholics!
But I think we wouldn't be very successful, because nobody wants to undergo a withdrawal treatment. ;)
