the impression i get is that Summer cares deeply about her work and the characters she portrays, obviously i dont know anything for sure but that's the impression i get, she seems to have a genuine love for her work. Kevin had a good point with the wondercon moment that face in hands moment really enphasised that for me. but this is just my opinion obviously

If i had to pick my 2 favorite things about the show, they would be the story and the character development.

Action is just a quick "cheap" way to draw in those people who, just want to see shit blow up, and don't want to have to think about the deeper meanings of a scene.

True, the storyline and the character development are the attractions. You would tend to dig more about the show or the characters if you notice the characters evolving.
Too many action scenes in a tv show would be dull. How many kind of action do we expect? It's either fighting or chasing or shootout. There is no way to watch them doing these in every episode or too often. The budget is the problem tho

I was one of those people (probably the majority of my country) that scoffed at an idea of a Terminator tv series. Though it would boil down to scaled down explosions and cheap effects. Then my roommate lent me season 2 last month and I have to say I was truly impressed. The quality of acting and storytelling really transcends its subject material, and of course the sight of Summer on screen occasionally smiling is irresistible on its own. It's really too bad that the show's in danger now because of the prejudice that the mainstream audience has against a Terminator tv show. (just like I did)

Wasn't really sure if this should be it's own topic or not, but I'll just post it here.

The upcoming "Terminator: Salvation" film looks cool, but Summer Glau is way hotter than Christian Bale, can most likely kick his butt and we'd much rather stare at her for two hours.

I totally agree!

I actually like TSCC more than the movies. I love the movies(not so much the third one), don't get me wrong, but I love the writing of the show(and Summer of course). It'd get kind of boring if it was all action.

The trailer for the movie is one of the best trailers to date. I can't wait for the movie. I love the show. But its not fare for people to try and compare the 2. they are the same, but also different in many ways.
