It would be wonderful if you could take some pictures. :)

I have just spent a fair amount of time reading about "comic con etiquette".
Some of it was actually helpful, most was not. Any tips for the Noob?

You should get used to wait, because thats what you do most of the time, waiting. :)
Is there anything specific you would like to know ?

For Summer, its best to look where her both or table is and where the panel will be, because her queues are extreme long. So you can make sure that you be there asap.

If you approach her, its nice to say hi and maybe start a quick chat, because she sits there all day and a nice talk is always great. But of course, a lot of cons don't like it when a single person starts talking to much because that slows the whole process down. (It happened to me once that we talked quite a while and the people got quite angry ) But a quick "hi, how are you" and things like that are never wrong, I guess.

Lining up early is definitely a great idea. When she attended FanExpo, I lined up for her panel about 90 minutes in advance, and there was maybe 20 people. About 15 minutes later it'd exploded to almost 100. Summer draws a crowd no matter where she goes.

Deoderant and gum are musts! There are thousands of you all crammed into one building. Also, this is just my personal opinion, but try to bring as little as possible. I usually try to fit everything into a tote bag. I've seen some people show up with those rolling suitcases, and that can some times be a bit of a pain. Also, bring cash. There might be ATMs at the convention (they had a few at FanExpo), but they aren't always reliable. A lot of times they'd be down or out of cash.

And as Norman mentioned, be prepared to wait. That's what most conventions are. I waited almost 90 minutes to get Summer's autograph. It was another 90 minutes for her panel. Then probably another hour for her photo-op.

Gee Norman, I think you may have made her acquaintance before and had previous contact.
Not sure what gives me this idea.........
My point of concern is photos and or video. It seems to me that a board or panel would be fair game. However in line for autographs, official photos would be bad form. Anything out
side of those examples would have to be on a asked/approved basis. How's my thinking?

If you want to take pictures of her while she's signing, make sure the sound and flash are off. A friend of mine took a ton of pictures of her signing while I waited in line. :D And if you want a picture of you two together at her table, then definitely ask. She's pretty cool about it. ;)
