I am definitely interested in going to this event as it's been a few years since I have been to the states and could use it as an excuse to go on a holiday. I'd also buy my ticket now but no guests have been announced as yet. I'm hoping they will have most of the cast including Summer as it is in their own back yard.

Due to a faulty ATM at the hotel at T1, I wasn't able to have all my stuff signed by Summer as I needed to buy a few 'badgers' which enabled me to an extra autograph on a personal item. When I spoke to the concierge he said I had to get the bus to the train station and to use the one there. I couldn't go as I didn't have enough time to get there and back without missing my slot.

What I didn't realise was that the NEC was only 10-15 mins walk from the hotel and I could have used the ATM there instead. As a result my Serenity and Firefly DVDs came back with no signatures on them

yer i remeber that faulty atm that was soo annoying as if a hotel would have a faulty atm at such a massive event.

It wasn't really faulty, just the morons didn't take in mind there is a convention during the weekend and we bled the poor ATM dry on friday and then there was noone to put some more cash in it... I've expected more from Hilton... At least have more than one ATM...

well i love hilton since they gave me a free upgrade to executive lounge and thats were i got to meet Summer.

I knew you were staying in the executive lounge what I didn't know that it was a free upgrade!

I was staying in the most basic single room for the same price that everyone else was paying for a twin or double room, not only that but I was not given the option to the use any of the suites which I would have taken had I known.

ATMs can have tens of thousands of pounds in them, obviously this one hadn't been refreshed in a while which explains why it ran out so fast. They should have had a second machine though just in case something like this was to occur. They even had the cheek to charge you for withdrawing your own money!

And even if they didn't have a second atm they should have had POS terminal for direct cash withdraws at the reception. It's really stupid to leave your guests without access to their money. In the end you lose from that couse they stop spending cash...
