Just uploaded an update to Google Play. Should be available in a while (Google Play has an hour or so of delay between uploading and actual availability).
That's version 0.9 this time, as it is very close to what I announced to be included in 1.0.

Changelog:
- Added a menu page
- Added possibility to download the biography pdf (in the nearest future I will extend this section to ability of browsing the whole "Summer" section from this site).
- Improved list animation
- Fixed paging bugs (reported by me earlier)

Still waiting for even more feedback. According to the Google Play stats, we've got only 7 active installs, 5 of which are in USA, one from Germany (probably Norman ;) ) and one from Turkey. That is pretty low quantity. Are there not enough Android (2.3.3 and higher) users in the community? ;)

Maybe you have to increase the timeout value. Sometimes I get the error message that he cannot communicate with the server. Also the title of a news is misplaced when its too long.

Can you fix these errors ? At the least the ones that causing the app to crash. I've send them through the android error report. If the app is solid we want to make a news post about it. :)

Can you replace News with "Recent". Just show the latest additions not the whole page.
When you go to Biography, authorization in the notification is spelled wrong. Sorry.....

This one I have already found the reason for and fixed. The fix will be included in the nearest update.

Heh... I have this on news details screen. Where do you? In any case I will need to talk to my designer to find the best solution. Suggestions are welcome, though (btw reducing font size or truncating the title are quick but not the best solutions as it seems to me).

In general, it seems I have fixed the crashes reported so far in Google Play. Hopefully, I will come back with an update 1.0 in the end of this week.

Well, maybe it would make sense to improve the functionality rather than cutting it. For example, draw some special graphics on the News button to show there are unread (or modified) posts and then highlight them graphically in the list. What do you say?

Thanks! Spelling errors are errors too and need to be fixed, so you don't have to be sorry. Actually, I've just copy-pasted the text from here. Sorry for redirecting the claim  Generally, though, according to my previous announcement, the notification in the dialog will be replaced with the whole "Summer" section browsing.

Now I wish I had an Android. I hope so there will be in the future an iOS app.
But great work!

Thanks! Unfortunately I am not into iOS development at this time, so most probably I won't be able to create a port for this platform in the nearest future. So, why not just buy an Android device? ;) Galaxy Nexus would be a good choice, as it is quite a nice device itself, besides this is the one I currently use for development, so it should deliver the best experience with this application.

I get used to iTunes and that's why I don't have an Android device. I heard a lot of bad opinions about this OS unless you buy hi-end phone.
It's nice when someone does somethink non-profit like you!

Hi everyone!

Just uploaded version 0.10. Sorry, still not 1.0, as I have not implemented all the announced features. Instead, I have taken time to implement browsing the "Summer" section of this website rather than dully downloading the biography. Biography is still getting downloaded, but from the "Biography" page like on the website. I think on caching the file and smoothly opening it in some of the next updates, but it does not seem of a high priority.
By the way, sorry in advance for ugly formatting in some articles of the section. There are some unsupported HTML tags in the implementation I currently use. I am aware of that and thinking of a good solution.

Also I have fixed a nasty bug in the news list that sneaked to the previous update and probably bugged you a bit (that's what bugs do), especially if you managed to see "Server connection error". Hopefully, it is gone completely now.
Besides, the list scrolling should seem more seamless now. Loading next page may even occur imperceptibly for you if you don't scroll too fast.
Hopefully, next week I'll be able to concentrate on completion of version 1.0 if nothing of higher priority arises.

Just wanted to let you know that due to family reasons I had nearly no time to devote to the application. Therefore, I shift the 1.0 release to the next week. Sorry about that.
