It seems like a large percentage of movies coming out lately have been remakes or 'reboots' of older movies. I realise that this isn't really a good thing, but I was just wondering what you guys think would be a good movie remake for Summer to be in? This isn't a serious topic but just a game for something to do.

Personally i'm gonna be brave and say that I think Summer is the only person I know that i'd be happy to see remake an Audrey Hepburn movie. One in particular I think she'd be outstanding in is a movie called "Wait Until Dark".. which was a well constructed crime movie where Audrey plays a blind woman who is terrorised by drug traffickers in her home. It was a good movie and I think it'd be a really interesting role for Summer. She sort of reminds me of Audrey Hepburn with her natural grace and caring personality so I i'd be comfortable with her redoing a movie from my ultimate female idol. Well that's the point. To think of movies that she could do that would be different from what she's done before. Movies you liked but that might be really old and could be interesting reimagined with Summer taking over the role.

Interesting thread, but I think that doing a remake underlines the lack of writers' imagination... and the lack of Studio's will to bet on something new, something unseen.

"They" do not want to take risks, they use a good "cooking formula" so... I don't know...



Summer as princess Leia in StarWars ?

No, really, I would want to see her in "costumes" movies, historical movies for true (historical background) or enchanted movies (Merlin, Arthur... fairytales).

Just to see her in beautiful dresses !

Another thing would be to see her as the "bad girl", really bad...

I can't see anyone tampering with anything as iconic and famous as the original Starwars movies but ya never know I guess. I agree that it does display a lack of imagination to be doing rehashes of movies but this is really just so we can think back on movies in which we've seen roles that Summer could've done and added something to the movie.

I haven't seen Calamity Jane, but while Hollywood is doing so many remakes i'm actually surprised the 50's westerns have remained relatively untouched. There was "5 10 to Yuma" a couple of years back and I remember seeing an interview with Summer saying it was one of her favourite films.

It's about "what is in the air".

I mean: western is not in productors/ realisators mind at this time.

But... as everything is a cycle (even if renewed), I am sure that in few years you will find 3 or 4 Western movies in one year.

Just wait for that.


Even if I like Sci-fi/ fantastic genre, I think people will start to be fed up with so many movies/ series about it....

Another thing is more closely bound to US spirit (as most of successful series comes from US), if american people feel the need to focus on some "roots", on some kind of american spirit. And this is something you can not predict, it's in the air... or not.

Summer Cowgirl, would be GREAT Even (or...specially ) as an outlaw

From what I've seen so far she's cut for action drama movies, It's hard for me to imagine her for example playing in movies like "along came polly" and comedy like that, but she could always surprise me.
So I think it would be something like Children of Men, even Alien could work, if they don't screw the things up again...
