You have to remember that she loves sci-fi and fantasy. Since she was small. Yes is would be nice to see something different. And you also have to remember she has had other roles that had nothing to do with sci-fi.

The Unit (Drama)
The Initiation of Sarah (Horror, Thriller)
Cold Case (Drama)
CSI (Drama)

I know that those were small roles, (all but The Initiation of Sarah) but in Hollywood i don't believe that there are small roles, they are all important.

We will just have to wait and see what she plans to do next. I can say with great probability we will all support her choose.

I agree, but i meant that "informations" (rumors) were referring often to scifi roles for her.

But I am sure she'll have her western movie one day.

I rather prefer to see her in a brilliant comedy (if not as the lead character as the second) that in a romance. I don't want another Sandra Bullock, if you understand what I mean.

If SHE plays it, it's NOT another Sandra Bullock. I don't want to say that Sandra Bullock is a bad actress, but Summer plays in another league.
I'm sure that Summer would revolutionize any romance, cause she's ways better than Sandra.

For me there is no league and every actor has its right to exist in this buisness.
Sandra Bullock is a good actress and had some nice movies and of course i would like to see Summer in different kind of roles and maybe the next one is such role.

Well, I'm not saying that Sandra is a bad actress, actually I love her and I have all the films that she mades (yes, Speed 2 also ).
But honestly, a lot of her stories are always the same stereotypes: "she is alone, she is ugly, she is sad... suddenly appear the most lovable guy on Earth, he fell in love with her, she fell in love for him, everything goes fine until somethings happens and the boy goes away... but at the end of the film they'll return together".

That what I mean when I said that I rather prefer to see Summer in a brilliant comedy instead of a romantic film.

one of the things i love about the roles Summer seems to choose are that they seem challenging, i wonder if she'd ever play a villian, now i think that could be very interesting to see a different side and how she would play it. i'd also like to see her do some more comedy, im sure she'll continue to suprise us with her endless talent
