I was thinking if there is something "wrong" with Summer and/or her roles.
It's about shows that get cancelled as soon as she shows up in them for at least two episodes.
So there are some people who think there is some kind of so called "Summer Glau curse" and there are people who think that's all a coincidence.

I think the problem is the networks, *FOX* They don't know what they want
and have no idea what they have. Alphas spiked to their highest viewership
ever when she was on, oh and she's coming back. Grey's was not my thing,
anybody know about that? As for the curse, haters.

I'm thinking of doing a campaign to highlight the company's "FOX" and talk if there is a possibility of returning the serie terminator , the character of "summer" is perfect, I love her and wanted to see her in every movie, hehe!

and she's not bad luck, people get lost with that incredible beauty of her ...and want only sleeping to dream about her * --- *

Funny thing about this curse is I'm pretty sure it started as the Firefly curse. Whenever a Firefly actor would go on another show, it'd soon get cancelled. But then Fillion and Baldwin "broke" it with Castle and Chuck, so it couldn't be called the Firefly curse anymore. It was just the Summer Glau curse.

You would've thought the curse was broken after The Unit. She guest-starred on that in its second season, and it went on for two more seasons before being cancelled. Exactly how long does a show need to go on before she's not blamed anymore? Not to mention Alphas was renewed, and I don't see Grey's Anatomy going anywhere.

The sad thing is there's a very small group that likes to hate Summer just for the sake of hating her. I don't understand it, and nor do I care to. I pretty much leave the trolls in their own ignorance. And I think we do Summer and her fanbase a disservice each time we discuss it.

I too don't think that there's some kind of Summer curse going around, but I fail not to think that everything that I watch and like gets canceled.So I am kind of and at the same time.

The reason why the shows she chooses to take a MAJOR role in shows that get cancelled because many people only will watch a show if it has sex scenes, nudity, excessive violence or if it is a reality show. We all know she chooses roles that mean something to her and not just a role that would appeal to the majority of the public even if that means it makes her less popular.
Which why we respect Summer so much because she unlike many other actors/actresses out there!

I think that is the key to the story and the 'curse'. FOX commited so many mistakes with their strategy that they are the villian in the story - cancellation of Firefly after they f&*%$ things up almost making sure the show is cancelled is the prime example.
And later they gave us the 'amazing' Terra Nova because if something has dinosaurs in it, it doesn't need good script.

I find the actress best suited to play demanding characters considering how much effort she puts into making something feel right and this attitude works best with good scriptwriters. And that is the key.
Ambitious shows which are event based contrary to character driven shows require some thought, vision and courage from a network and not every single one has it.
