The link above shows results for searches on the term Summer Glau in Yahoo. Interestingly, the demography shows that most of the queries are by men (about 84 percent) and that most of them fall into the age range of 35 to 54 with the 25 to 34 range coming in third.

Google Trends (http://www.google.ca/trends?q=summer+gl ... ort=0&sa=N) provides a different view but interestingly, where Ohio scored highest in the Yahoo searches, Oregon is highest in the Google search totals.

The fact that males make up the majority behind the queries is no surprise. However, I'm 23 and I have to say I'm rather shocked my age group is the smallest next to the senior age group.

I am too. If anything, I would have thought that the younger groups would have had more queries. They know more about the Internet and they have more experience with it.

Age bracket is not totally surprising considering the searches were FireFly related.

You are probably right. Even though the search terms are terminator-related, the people doing the searches were probably first exposed to Summer when they saw Firefly. I was curious to see what sort of traffic there might be for Summer as I am a relatively new fan. I only discovered her earlier this year.

Back- words? Did you mean backwards? I remember years ago in my third job as a technical writer that I had to edit a manual that required a foreword. Of course, that is not what I put in as a title. I called it a forward.

No worries. I still think you are right because Firefly was really the thing that launched her. What you said clearly illustrated the difference between information and knowledge. The Yahoo Clue provided information but your knowledge of Summer's work and the timing made the most sense.

I'm 46 and I can say Summer's outstanding acting talent touched me. I think it's beyond any age consideration. Well people from my generation or a bit younger saw the development or sci-fi shows in early 90's. So we're still looking for good shows and in my opinion Firefly and TSCC are among those.
Oh, and I know well about the Internet despite my age, lol!

I will go further and add range to that talent. I would go even further that at a personal
level she also has style, class and character. I would not have bothered to join were
it not so.

That's because only old people still use Yahoo. Lol.
